Appearance

Tank Requirements

A minimum tank size of 250 gallons is recommended for an adult. The tank should be long with a secure lid. Strong filtration and regular water changes are essential. Water parameters: temperature 78-84°F, pH 6.5-7.5, soft to moderately hard water.

Diet

To enhance color, feed a varied diet: high-quality color-enhancing pellets, live or frozen shrimp, crickets, small fish, mealworms, and supplement with natural color enhancers like krill and spirulina.

Compatibility

Red Tail Goldens can be housed with other large, peaceful fish such as stingrays, large catfish, and cichlids. Avoid aggressive tank mates. Only one Arowana per tank is recommended unless you have a proven pair and a very large aquarium.
